Dog of the week
Minni
Well, Minni is temporarily no longer available for adoption. But she could use all of your help. This furr baby was born with problem and now her problems are getting worse. After a fierce battle with her hips not developing right, mange, malnourished, fleas and parvo, we are now fighting hot spots. We managed to get the one on her lower back healed up and another has broke out on her neck and leg, but to make matters worse I discovered a lump in her neck this morning. She is going to need extreme medical care to pull through all this. She is in a lot of discomfort and it is taking a toll on our budget. So any and all donations would put a smile on this babys face.

ABOUT US
We are a brand new NO kill non-profit animal shelter located in Sandia, Texas. After we bought this house, sitting on 3 acres of land, we noticed there were a lot of dogs being dumped in our neighborhood. Since childhood I have had a strong love of animals and dreamed of opening a shelter. I have been rescuing abandoned dogs and cats all my life, so I decided that I would open a shelter and rescue as many of these poor dogs as possible. No sooner did I come to this decision and fill out the paperwork for my 501C I was needed. Two different litters of puppies had been born to two different dogs that had been abandoned and turned feral. The county was able to catch some of the puppies but not the mothers. Because of their age, the puppies were going to be euthanized because the county was lacking in resources and staff to bottle feed them. So I went right away to pick them up. And thus, it began. :)
